    Which is correct?
    I appreciate you taking the time to visit our office.

    OR

    I appreciate your taking the time to visit our office.

    I am not a teacher.

    Both are used, however, I think it is better to say "I appreciate that you are taking the time or that you took the time to visit our office."

    It is true that both are used but this is better; I appreciate your taking the time to visit our office.
