    Re: 2009

Most people that I hear say "two thousand and nine" (or "two thousand nine").

One television journalist says "twenty oh-nine."

I have never heard anyone say "twenty zero-nine."

(However, I've heard most people refer to 2010 as twenty-ten.)

    Re: 2009

We will see next year if the habit of a decade breaks the habit of several centuries, and 2010 will naturally be "two thousand ten" rather than "twenty ten". Argh, I really don't like "twenty ten".
