In the Bible, woman is defined as "taken out of man". I wonder whether "wo" is a prefix in old English meaning "from"? So, woman=from man? Are there any examples? Would you please help me out?

No it isn't, nice idea though. 'Woman' is a corruption of the Old English 'wimman' literally 'wife of man'.
