    future tenses

    Hello,

Got a question about tenses. Are both sentences correct or maybe only the first one is ok

By 5 o'clock I will have finsihed writing the report

In 5 hours I will have finsihed writing the report

In books that I checked there are no examples with "in" when future perfect is used. They always use by before. However it sounds ok for me. Any suggestions?

“In” is used with stative verbs as below:
In 2004, my friend will have preferred drinking black tea for 3 full years
But “in’ is usually used with the future perfect progressive which is used for actions that will be unfinished, but has reached certain stage. Here is an example of future perfect continuous using “In”
In June, my grandmother and grandfather will have been married for fifty years
