Meaning of the words and sentences

Please help me with that sentence to get it.
Also, Chrysler, GM and Ford were to pay billions into UAW-administered trust funds that will take over paying health care bills for hundreds of thousands of retirees on January 15th,2010.

    1. What does trust funds mean?
    2. What does administered mean in this case?
    3. What does -(dash) mean?
4.What does the take over mean?
    5. What does the sentence entirely mean?

(Of course, I looked up the words, but I can't understand thesentence entirely, I just can't get it. I don't understand the meaning of this sentence)

Have you looked up any of these words/terms in the dictionary?
