I have a quick question: a person can be hot & sexy or is just a repetition because the 2 adjectives mean exactly the same?
I actually meant using this 2 adjective togheter describing one person. "he is really hot and sexy"
is that an unnecessary repetition?
In that context it is probably unnecessary - putting the words together can make the sentence mean 'He is hot [i.e. suddenly popular] because he's sexy'.
But imagine a case where two young stars are both "hot" (in the celebrity-based/financial sense). One could reasonably and sensibly say 'A is hot, but B is hot and sexy.
