    different

    i want to know the different in meaning between the two sentences:
    a. i went to school
    b. i went to the school

    Hi,
    In the first one, you went to school as a student, for the purpose of studying.

    In the second one, you went to the building that is the school. Perhaps you went there to pick someone up, to watch a concert, or because that's where your voting place is.

    Remember to start your sentences with a capital letter, and that "I" (regardless of where it is in the sentence) is capitalized.
