    could you please tell me what "absolute election" means in the following sentence:

    The Deputy Supreme Court Prosecutors are appointed by the Higher Judicial Council by absolute election among the persons ranked as prosecutors.

    I don't know for sure, but I've met the expression 'absolute majority') in the field of elections (an absolute majority is more than 50%, even if there are more than two candidates). It could also mean 'One Judge One Vote' (regardless of seniority or rank).
