    A syllable is a:
    Segment of speech usually consisting of a vowel with or without accompanying constonant sounds.
    Use your hands to clap out how many syallables a word has for eg. area has 3 syllables and doesn't has 2 syllables

    3) How many syllables does the word "doesn't" have? Two: DUZ-nt
