    Which one is correct?

Man: I didn't expect any visitor so I don't have anything for you to eat.
Woman: I knew ___. You know what? I bring the food.

    A. it. B. that.

Which is correct? Can we say both?

    Re: Which one is correct?

    Hello flowerseed

Man: I didn't expect any visitors, so I don't have anything for you to eat.
Woman: I knew ___. You know what? I will bring the food.

    A. it <can have a negative connotation>
    B. that

    Example

Max: Did you remember to feed the dog?
    Sam: No. Sorry. I forgot.
Max: I knew it. This is the 3rd time this week that you've forgotten. (Max doesn't have faith in Sam's ablity to remember things)
