    beach front

    Hi

There was one particular place on the beach front called The Morea with live salsa music and calypso.

I understand that "beach front" simply means that it was situated on the beach, right?

    Right.

As an aside, the most common collocate of "beachfront" is probably "property".

    Not actually on the beach.
'beachfront' refers to the part of a coastal town next to and directly facing the sea, and any property similarly located.

Are you sure it wasn't The Moorea ( one of the Marquessa Islands, pronounced Mo'or-rea)

I think The Morea was a kind of club/joint located on the beach front

Yes - a beachfront club named after the tropical island of Moorea.

See Morea Beachcomber Intercontinental Resort And Spa | Morea Beachcomber Intercontinental Resort And Spa in Moorea | Moorea Hotels

The website has also spelt it incorrectly (note the variations even in the web address).
