    headiness

    Hi

I wanted to make something that reflected the life I was living, that had some some of the joy of family and the headiness of late nights and bright lights. But joy is a very hard thing to conjure and happiness won't do.

---I think these words refer to the album that a band wanted to record.

I think that "headiness" means "power"? But what these "late nights and bright lights" might mean? I guess it has something to do with "partying"?

I'm also not sure what the phrase "won't do" at the end means?

    cheers

Headiness is not power. Some words that come closer are:

    light-headedness
    giddiness
    euphoria
    intoxication

Late nights is about partying. Bright lights is about being on stage, in the spotlight.

    Re: headiness

    Thanks for the answer.

Do you have an idea what "happinnes won't do" might mean? Maybe it says that happiness is not enough, or something of the kind?
