    bruised and bloodied/catch fire

    Hi

We were a bit bruised and bloodied after our last album experience. Because even though audience and sales figures were in the millions, it didn't catch fire the way we had hoped it would.

-- Does "bruised and bloodied" mean that they felt it was insufficient?

--- "catch fire" I'm not sure. Audience liked that, but it didn't catch fire???

    Thanks

-- Does "bruised and bloodied" mean that they felt it was insufficient? In this instance it means that they were disappointed, dejected with the outcome of the album.

    Thanks

    Thanks
You're welcome! Who is the artist, anyway? It seems like a pretty big ego talking.

If this is a relatively new comment, then perhaps U2 needs to understand that there is always a time component to musical hits. It could be that their time is not really now any more!
