    Red face Economy vocabulary

    Hi! I would like to know if someone might correct all my mistakes in these sentence, and give some other examples of these words usage.
    The world economy has slumped during the past ten years. The world economy is slumping. We have a world slumping economy nowadays.
    You shouldn´t spend so much money if all of us are making a loss this year.
    We´ll have to get more money. It should be a good idea to stretch our salaries, to make ends meet.

    Well, thank you a lot for the answers. I´ve been looking for the words in the pages you indicated me and I´ve also found these sentences through the Internet.

    -Stretch Your Dollar. In this economy, it's not what you make but what you keep that's important.
    how to stretch money through the holidays. Money is easy to spend but stretching it is harder.

    If he takes a loss on his property, he can write it off on his taxes.

    So, would it be right to say?

    I had already warned them that, spending so much in a slumping economy

    would result in taking a loss (making a loss?). I advised them to stretch the salary in all possible ways.

    Well, these are my efforts today. If somebody would like to correct me..........

    When you stretch your dollar you get the most value you can for it.

    When you write something off on your taxes you put it on your income tax return as a deduction.

    Perhaps:
    I warned them that spending so much...would be risky.
