    Hello~ Can you help me say this naturally please?
    I'm all the time confused about ' is broken, has broken, is broken down, has broken down'.

    A is calling B

    A: Hello,
    ⓐcan I speak to you?
    ⓑare you available to talk?

    B: Yeah, whatís up?

    A: Did you know
    ⓐdoor knob is broken?
    ⓑdoor knob got broken?
    ⓒdoor knob has broken down?


    B: Yeah,
    ⓐSam broke that.
    ⓑSam has broken down that.


    A: Iím locked inside room, canít go out!
    Can you come over right now?
    You guys are too much! Should have told me!

    ⓒdoor knob has broken down?

    is it wrong?
    when can I say... broken down?

    Both are grammatically correct. 1st is in passive and the 2nd is active form, door knob got broken is a better active sentence, atleast to me. .
