    Post Clause analysation

I had this extracted from a recent NY times.

During the Depression of the 1930s, that meant listening to the radio and playing parlor and board games, sometimes in lieu of a glamorous night on the town.

Would anyone please kindly analyse the clause elements? and which of it is the subject?

    thank you.

Subject: that (Refers to something in the previous sentence.)
    Verb: meant
    Object: listening (A gerund.)

Everything before meant is a separate dependent clause that answers the question: When? (During is the clue.)
Everything after listening answers the question: Listening to what? (To is the clue.)

    Incidentally, it's an analysis.
