    mis urderstanding word

Sir many world has different meaing ,being known I can't understand below phragraph can you giving the meaning of red form word and then I can easly urstand of it, lest's start

    1. The question of values is a more complicated one,as some of the discussions in this book will show.In working with people, we are inevitably facing the challenge of dealing with value issues. It would be naivein the extreme to regard people work as a value-free undertaking. Many of the issues discussed in this book are contested and open to different interpretations according to one's perspective. Many of the issues have their roots in political issues of power, life-chances and ideology--- they are therfore inherently values -based. A willingness to be open about values and address them explicitly is therefore a key to developing expertise in people work. An approach that denies the significance of values will therfore be a distorted one that hampers progress.
    2. In view of this, it is important to declare, right form the start, the vale of fundamental commitment to equality that recongnize the singnificance of discrimination and oppression in so many people's lives. people work generally involves and unequal powerbalance between worker and service user and so it is vaitly important that such power is used to tackle inequalities, rather than widen them; to empower rather than to oppress; to be a force for positive change, rather than a vehicle for discrimination.
    3. A further central value is that of professionalism, not is the sense of elitism and paternalism, but in the term of commitment to high standards for practice; and informed and sensitive approach to practice, based on clear principles and values: an open practice by knowledge and learning rather than assumptions and stereotypes.

sir I am not urderstanding above pargragh can you help me to explain the red firm world meaning therfore may I understand much
    better than misundestanding.
I would be very thank ful to you
