    the full phrase is the following:

    "This approach fully assesses the proposed method, from both an experimental and
    a metrological points of view"

    how should I correct/rephrase it ?

    Perhaps:
    "This approach assesses the proposed method in full, from both an experimental and a metrological point of view."

    SINGULAR 'point'

    HOWEVER...I think that a scientist reading your paper would baulk at the notion that you can 'fully' or 'in full' assess anything.
    'comprehensive' might be a better choice:
    "This approach provides/affords a comprehensive assessment of the proposed method, from both an experimental and a metrological point of view."
