    Constructing or Construction ?

    Dear Teachers,

Is there any difference between the following 2 sentences? Are both of them correct ? If there is no difference and both are correct, then, which one sounds better?

    1) They were so fast in construction of that building.

    2) They were so fast in constructing that building.

    Thank you in advance.

    (1) would have been acceptable with the article 'the' before construction.

    not a teacher.
