in high gear = a satte of maximum activity

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to tel me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following excerpt from the article “Even The Rich Need A Loan”

In this Beverly Hills [auto] garage, business is also in high gear for pawnbroker Yossi Dina.

in high gear = a state of maximum activity, energy, or force

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V.
