    check in/catch ups

Please make the following in bold clear for me.

Rituals and ceremonies---from the 'breakfast with the boss' to the 'employee of the month', they all have a cultural message. In one company where I was CFO, we started 8 am~9 am with a Board members 'check in' where we had mostly informal 'catch ups'. Monday 9 am~10 am was always ruled through in my diary and I would wander around the building talking, mostly with direct reports, and mostly about football.

    Thank you.

with a Board members (meet and greet session) 'check in' where we had mostly informal (discussions about what was happening at the office ) 'catch ups'.

Monday 9 am~10 am was always (blocked out or left blank in my date book) ruled through in my diary and I would wander around the building talking, mostly with direct reports, and mostly about football.
