    interchangeability between a few sentences

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to tell me whether there is interchangeability between the following sentences?

    I was caught red-handed.
I was caught with the goods.
I was caught in flagrant delict.
I was caught in the act.
I was caught in the fact.
I was caught at the scene of the crime.

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V.

Re: interchangeability between a few sentences

    Note: in flagrante delicto

    I was caught red-handed.
I was caught in flagrante delicto. (Note that this term is mainly used when one has been caught in the act of committing some sexual misconduct.)
I was caught in the act.
These describe being caught in the act of committing the crime.

I was caught at the scene of the crime.
The crime would need to have been committed to be described as 'the scene of the crime'; and you could be caught at the scene some minutes after actually committing the crime.

I was caught with the goods.
This could be any time after the crime; and the crime you have committed might not be the theft itself, but receiving stolen goods, which were found in your possession when you were arrested.
I was caught in the fact.
    No idea what this means.
