I have three questions to ask:
Many fami8lite have a pet animal. It could be a dog or a cat or a goldfish. Sone lonely old people love their cat or dog as much as a _____ friend.
a. human b. good
The key is 'a'. Could you please explain why? And why 'b' isn't correct? It could be, but to most people "human" and friend are almost necessarily synonymous.
You do not have to be rich to race your own pigeons, but it is different with horses.
Could you please explain if the word "with" means 'in the case of'? Yes - the cost of keeping, training and racing a horse is around £30,000 per year, not counting any costs for medical or blacksmith treatment. Pigeons don't yet cost that much.
Sometimes their difficulty _____ from the psychological idea that they are not good at math.
a. result b. stems
The key is 'a'. Could you please explain why 'b' isn't correct? I would regard it as perfectly suitable.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you in advance.
