    explaining the word "do"

how do you explain the word "do" to second language students? Do is not listed in the Spanish/English dictionary and they are really confused.
    Thanks, Dawn

Whew! I wouldn't even try! I'm not a language teacher, and I only have one language. So I'd love to read what others have to say.

    I'm amazed it's not in a Spanish-English dictionary.

Thank you for the reply. The website was really pretty helpful and I was able to print off some things for the students. I'm sure I'll be asking help with other things. Thanks again
