    about "who"

    Dear all,

could you help to indicate the "who" of following sentence is referring to the "engineer" or the "partner"?

They can engage an engineer from other partner who can configure configure this equipment.

    Hi danny MD,

    an engineer

The prepositional phrase from the other partner implies that:
    1. There are two partners being considered here; both partners have access to the services of (an) engineer(s).
    2. Only one of the two partners will hire out an engineer "who can configure this equipment."
    3. The actual partner to do such hiring will be "the other" one. This reference to "the other partner," assumes that both the speaker and listener already understand who is the other partner and who is not the other (partner).
