What part of speech is needed in :

    what is the ___________ between.........
    what + is + the +___________ +between.........
Interrogative pronoun + verb + definite article_+________+ preposition.

What part of speech is 'different'? (Your dictionary will tell you.)

    Simply,
'Different' is an adjective but 'Difference' is a noun. So you can say:

    What is the difference between..........AND...........
    This car is different from............
    This is a different place.

Please, mind your grammar. Inaccurate writing may confuse the English learners.

What am I doing here? I'm also learning, and even natives and experts.

I know for sure that 'mistake' is a singular countable noun, and therefore must be proceeded by an indefinite article. Uncountable and plural nouns can stand alone by themselves. If a singular countable noun ends with a vowel, it should be proceeded by an 'an'. On the other hand, if a singular countable noun ends with a consonant, it should be proceeded by an 'a'.

I always take these rules and issues into consideration!

I confess this is a fatal mistake, but to err is human.

No offence meant, I just wanted to ask you to type more carefully.
