    was/got

    Respected,
I would like you to clarify me.
Where and how can we use "Got + past participle" and "was+ past participle".

    I was interested in Phychology.
    I got intersted in Psychology.
    which one is correct?
In which situation we have to use Got rather than Was and vice versa.

Is this sentence structure is correct?
It would be better if you could give some some examples in this regard.
Please correct me If i am wrong, I appreciate your help.
    Thanks in Advance.

I was interested in Phychology. At some time in the past you were interested in psychology. You are not interested in it any more.
I got intersted in Psychology. At some time in the past you became interested in psychology. You are still interested in it. Use 'became' instead of 'got', it's better English.

Is this sentence structure is correct? Yes it's fine.
