    Smile Meaning of a Term "Diva Sempre"

    Hi all,

    Can any of you please explain me the meaning of "Diva Sempre"

    Below are the meanings of two words but I am just trying to figure out the meaning of term as whole !

    Diva: is A distinguished female operatic singer; a female operatic star.

    Sempre: (music) always; throughout; as, sempre piano, always soft.

    I have No reference for this !

    I've never heard this, but if you take the etymologies back a step you get a possible meaning. Diva means 'goddess' - it was applied to female singers who had a god-like impact. 'Callas was a diva'

    Sempre, as you say, means 'always'. In its original Italian, it does not apply only to music; it just means always: 'Callas - diva sempre' - although she's dead, her voice is immortal.

    Another possible meaning is as a jocular musical instruction "Carry on singing as if you were a diva".

    Without context, those are my guesses.
