    two-feet

    Hi

I came back from this meeting two-feet taller.

Does it mean that person was excited very much?

    Re: two-feet

As you probably know the foot, plural feet, is a measure of length. If you 'walk tall' or 'walk with your head held high' you are proud, and feel you are in charge of your world.

If the guy feels he is two feet taller, then the meeting went well and he was very pleased with it. More specifically his part in it, he feels he has higher status now.

Note: no hyphen. I guess using 'this' could be appropriate, but since it is in the past tense, I would have thought 'that' would be used.

It means his prestige was enhanced, that he had gone up in others' estimation of him. This is depicted in a concrete way, as if he had physically grown in stature by two feet.
