    Prepositions

    Are they correct ?

. What are you planning to do at the weekend?

. IŽll call you again in about half an hour.

. Carl said he had parked his car on the corner.

. Jane said the tenor was about to sing.

. We told him that we were having trouble with the television.

    Hi Mauricio67,

    All are fine.

As far the the first one goes, however, "at the weekend" sounds a little "stiff" to my American ear. In the US, one is more apt to hear either of the following:
"What are you planning to do this (or next) weekend?"
"What are you planning to do over the weekend?"

    Hi,
Thanks... When you say "stiff", do you mean " strange, weird "?

    Re: Prepositions

    hi Mauricio67,

    Exactly.

People would definitely understand what you mean if you were to say "at the weekend," but by stiff, I mean that your words wouldn't flow as people are used to hearing, so it would sound weird.
