    content/discontent

    Hello

I used to think that one day I'd be able to resolve the different drives I have in different directions, the tension between the different people I am. Now I realize that is who I am, and I'm more content to be discontent.

--- Does it mean I'm happy to be unhappy

    - Sort of.

Actually, it means exactly what you write, which is that now you're content to be discontent, which may not be quite the same thing as happy/unhappy.

Also, please consider something like the following for your first sentence:
I used to think that one day I'd be able to resolve the different drives I have in different directions, the tension between the different people I am my conflicting internal drives.
Before your final sentence of "Now I realize ...," you might want to include an additional sentence (or more) that explains what those conflicting internal drives are.
