    indefinite article

If you put an adjective before an uncountable noun, can't you say 'a' or'an' before the adjective?
    example:
    1. We had dinner.
    2. We had a very delicious dinner.

    Exactly.

We had a very delicious dinner. (Dinner, in this sense, is countable.)
We had very delicious food. (Food, in this sense, is not countable.)
