When do you use the word 'apparently' and 'presume' ?

    Thanks

    Re: Apparently

The man apparently is a high achiever; we don't have to ask for his testimonials. His wife apparently is a snoot since I have never seen interacting with her neighbors.

May I presume to make a suggestion. He didn't come to office yesterday. He was coughing. I presume he caught some throat infection.
