    Yes, it could be correct, as long as you don't have any particular guests in mind. If you are referring to specific guests (the ones staying at the hotel, the ones visiting you, the ones who arrived by plane yesterday, etc.), you will need to add a definite article:

    The guests left this morning for Islamabad.
