Granola New Age Spirit World Gazette

Hi! I'm wordering there really is Granola New Age Spirit World Gazette.
And whether it is or not, what does it mean? Is it a kind of newspaper or something? Please help!

I've read this sentence in the book.

    - What happens next is hard to put into words without sounding like a moronic advertisment for the Granola New Age Spirit World Gazette.

    Dear Frindle:

I do not think this publication exists. The author is trying to say that 'what happens next' is something that defies rational explanation.

granola is used as a reference to people who eat 'natural' food

'new age' and 'spirit world' are references to a movement whose members tend to believe in non-scientific explanations for the phenomena one encounters in daily life.

The writer is saying that 'what happens next' is hard to explain using logic and that, if s/he hadn't witnessed it firsthand s/he wouldn't have believed it.

    I hope this is useful,

    Petra

Where did you see it? It's a good name and sounds like a book worth reading.

I've read it from the novel, <Stuck in Neutral> by Terry Trueman.
