    English Translation

    Hi teachers!

The following pasage is a piece of translation I made as a model answer for a translation test. May I ask you see it and correct mistakes if any? I'd really appreciate your help.

Memory is mysterious. We naturally remember impressive events clearly. Also, trivial events, even though we donít remember when they happened, still remain in our mind and we happen to recall them even if it seems we almost forget them. The memories entrenched deeply in our mind come back more easily, however hard we try to forget them.

    Thank you!

I'd use a modal verb here:

we donít remember when they happened- we may not remember when they happened (It's not an absolute rule)

we happen to recall them even if it seems we almost forget them

I get the idea, and it is a very tricky one to express, but how about this:

and they may come back to us years later even though we hadn't given them a second thought
