    Looking for a Word!

    There's a word in Filipino "daplis" which means you're almost hit. Say, one points a gun at you and shoots. You try to evade it and almost did. However, it hit you slightly on the shoulder. What word can I use here.

    The bullet __________ me on the shoulder.

    * Hope it's clear. Thanks!!!

    Thanks for that, Albertino.

    Yeah, it's been a long time. Just busy here at work. But I just can't disregard usingenglish. Still the best place to learn English.
