    Hi, teachers.
    I need your help.
Here goes a sentence from COCA:
The distribution of income in the US has become more unequal for some 30 years.

I wonder if the "more" here means "more and more".
And does the sentence suggest that The distribution of income in the US is becoming more and more unequal over some 30 years?
    Thank you in advance.

    My interpretation:

Before 30 years back from now, distribution of income was already unequal, unjust, but not so much as it has been for 30 years.

So we must say "has been" instead of "has become"?
And "President Aristide has closed Athletics of Haiti for the last few days." should be "President Aristide keeps Athletics of Haiti closed for the last few days."?
"I mentioned that the band of young musicians that has joined him onstage for the last few years." is less grammatical than "I mentioned that the band of young musicians that has been him onstage for the last few years."?
Could we think something above was expressed in a wrong way?
