    Signing a friendly note and comma use?

    What is the proper way to sign a friendly note using commas?

    I am not a teacher, but I asked my wife (who is continuing her education in graduate school for English) this question and she told that the 2nd comma in your list is called the oxford or serial comma. It is optional, so it is correct whether you use it or not. Check out this wikipedia link, it explains it pretty well.

    According to the article, most American scholars suggest using the serial comma.

    It depends on you local style conventions (for example, the editor
    could force you to use a comma before the last element in the list).
    However if there are not such conventions, I'd recommend you
    to use the last comma. BTW in Russian the last comma is treated
    as a redundancy and marked as an error.
