    Improvement (in) and development of

    Do I need the preposition "in" after the word "improvement" in the following sentence?

    This exhibition will contribute to improvement in and development of science technology.

    Thank you for your reply. The expression "the improvement and evelopment of" is found on a number of Internet websites in English-speaking countries. I will use that.
