    what is if? preposition

    how come after if an adjective?

    i know it sound correct but is there a rule.

    The 'full' sentence would be:

    We always try to accommodate our clients with financial assistance, if financial assistance is necessary.

    How about now? Does the function of 'if' seem clearer to you?

    so David the same things goes with this sentence

    (write the same sentence as shown above.)

    as is conjunction and above is adverb and shown is a verb past particple.?

    the sentece is shortened right.
