    Smile no more ..than

    What does the following sentence mean?
    Don't you think that 'not' is needed after 'without a soul is'?
    I think the structure of ' no more... than' makes me confused.
    I also wonder if that kind of pattern is often used.

    *A home without love is no more a home than a body without a soul is a man.*
