    Re: Antonym of Postpone

'postpone' is to cause or arrange for something to take place at a time later than that first scheduled

The best antonym I can think of is:
'expedite' : make an action or process happen sooner or be accomplished more quickly

Otherwise, you'll need a phrasal verb like 'bring forward'.

To advance would be another possible antonymous choice.

Thanks David. But, wish we had a word like 'prepone'.

    Example:
The event got postponed because of .....
The event got preponed [expedited] because of .... ???

What about the parallelism in the above two sentences?

'Prepone' is used in Indian English and sites like LanguageHat back it: languagehat.com: PREPONE.
