    grammar and spelling

    Does the word "statistics" go with a singular verb (3rd person + -s)?
    What about "statistic"? Kind of emergency, thank you...

    He teaches statistics.

    Statistics is name of the Subject OR a particular branch of study
    Statistic means 'A datum that can be represented numerically'
