    Question good/well

    I would like to know which one is correct.

    "She takes good care of herself"

    "She takes well care of herself"

    The first. You could also say 'She looks after herself well'.

    Irrelevant musing: it struck me the other day that "well" is an adverb, and the regular adverb form predicted by the normal rule of adverb formation - "goodly" - is in fact an adjective. Once again I thank heaven that I don't have to learn this stuff.
