    Question substitution

Hi, dear experts. Could you tell in which pair (A,B,C,D) the word in brackets can replace the original one?

    1. Julia walked (entered)(A) into a room where the walls were covered (taken by)B with beautiful paintings (drawings)C in classical style (manner)D.
