how would a native say it?

I can't sleep without my ear corks. I keep hearing noises/sounds from the street!

Could I say "street noises and sounds"?

By "ear corks" I mean that rubber or plastic little thing that is put inside the ears in order to block or reduce noises.

    Thanks!

    Hi JohnDoe

Ex: I can't sleep without my earplugs. I keep hearing noises/sounds from the street!
    'Street noises' is OK too.
