    Use of despite

Hi I want to know if this sentence is written correctly: "Despite of there could be some cases of people who might have not being treated nicely, native people are kind to outsiders" This sentence is from a text comparing living in other countries...my question is about the use of despite, should I better say: "Despite the fact there could be....."??
    Thanks a lot!

    Re: Use of despite

    Hi Pamela

Ex: [Aside from the fact] That there could be some cases where/in which some people might not have been treated nicely, native people are kind to outsiders.
