    How do you formally attach a document to a letter?

    In the body of the letter, write "I am enclosing" and then state the name of the document. After the signature line, skip two spaces and then at the left hand margin and the word "Enclosure." If you have more than one enclosure, then add "Enclosures:[number of enclosures]."
