    Right words to say

What are the proper words to say when I want to comfort someone who has a family member passed away? Please give examples. Thanks.

    Re: Right words to say

    You say 'you console someone'
Console means: to alleviate or lessen the grief, sorrow, or disappointment of; give solace or comfort:

Example: Only his children could console him when his wife died.
